Why FAMUS Chose a Formula Without Taurine

Energy & Ingredients June 23, 2026 · 1 min read · FAMUS Editorial Team
The quick answer

FAMUS does not include taurine. Instead, its functional blend includes coffee berry and yerba maté as caffeine sources, plus L-theanine and elevATP®. That is a formulation choice, not a claim that taurine is unsafe or that one finished drink guarantees a specific effect.

There is no single required recipe for an energy drink. FAMUS began with the flavor we wanted in the glass and built its ingredient blend beneath that.

What we chose

Each 16oz bottle has 125mg of natural caffeine from coffee berry and yerba maté. L-theanine and elevATP® are also part of the blend. We did not include taurine.

These choices describe the formula, not a guaranteed result for every person. They also do not imply that taurine is unsafe. If a particular ingredient matters to you, compare current bottle labels.

Flavor first

Havana Nights has a yuzu and mint mojito profile. OG Luxe leans tropical peach, citrus and ginger. Both can be enjoyed chilled, over ice, or in a zero-proof pour.
